25 Av As l told you the other day, Shmuel and Danni have been invited to sit with the elders. It is an honour for the whole family as our men are acknowledged to be good husbands and fathers who rule their homes well. It is just as well we have Yov to manage the flock these days since Shmuel and Danni will be spending time dealing with village and synagogue business as well as hearing disputes. They will have to attend these meetings almost every day. I have never spent much time watching the village judges at work, but I intend to go along to watch Shmuel in action. He is a good listener and very fair handed. So I am sure he will be an asset to the "court." This week, the men are meeting at the Rabbi's house for instruction-or did Shmuel say induction? I'm not sure what the difference is. Anyway, they start today and we are all so very excited!
